Casey Roberts was announced as this year's winner of the John Glassco Literary Translation Prize recently at a gala event in Montreal. Roberts won the award for translating Sylvain Hotte's Break Away, Jessie on my mind, published by our very own Baraka Books, from the original french version, Panache.
The John Glassco Literary Translation Prize is the only prize to celebrate the excellence of emerging literary translators. The award is organized by the Literary Translators’ Association of Canada/L’association des traducteurs et traductrices littéraires du Canada.
