The longlist for the 2010 Scotiabank Giller Prize was announced the morning of September 20th and we're so pleased to see that three of our members got the nod this year.
Cordelia Strube was nominated for Lemon, the story of a teenage girl just trying to make it through high school, published by Coach House Books.
Alexander MacLeod was nominated for his first collection of disturbing and compelling short stories, Light Lifting, published by Biblioasis.
Johanna Skibsrud was nominated for her debut novel, The Sentimentalists, published by Gaspereau Press.
The shortlist will be announced on October 5th and the $50,000 prize will be awarded at a gala event in November.
