October 26, 2009. Congratulations to Valerie Sherrard and Creative Book Publishing for the nomination of There's a COW Under My Bed! for a Blue Spruce Award. The announcement was made this morning as part of the Ontario Library Association's Forest of Reading Awards.

There's a COW Under My Bed! follows Oscar Ollie Brown.  His world is plagued by creatures that are causing him no end of trouble - beginning with a cow that licks his head every night.  Oscar would love to do something about these creatures, but there's a problem:  no matter how hard he looks, he just can't seem to find them.  Join Oscar on his perplexing search for the elusive creatures that he knows are there ... because his mother tells him so!

The Blue Spruce Award is part of the Forest of Reading Awards and focuses on books for children, aged 4 to 7. Youths across the province will decide the winner by voting for their favourite. Winners will be announced at the Festival of Trees at the Harbourfront Centre in Toronto, which is being held May 12 & 13, 2010.
